LIZ FREEMAN, FOUNDER/PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Liz Freeman is a strategic, committed, and driven leader in nonprofit development, storytelling, and philanthropy, with a passion for collaboration, community building, and human-centered practices. She aims to approach each opportunity placed before her through a lens of equity, justice, and belonging. As a product of the public school experience and a first-generation Latinx college graduate, Liz is passionate about working towards all students, families, and individuals in our communities being offered an equitable, accessible, and quality life experience.

Through prior work experiences in philanthropy, nonprofit fundraising, and community outreach, Liz’s skill set includes “community first” relationship building, strategic alignment planning, and a deep knowledge of the intricate complexities of power between the numerous stakeholders within community, education, nonprofit, and philanthropic spaces. Utilizing these skills and her unique lived experiences, Liz hopes to contribute towards initiatives that shift the power dynamics between those with privilege and those without, develop stronger advocates and supporters of equitable access to opportunities for all, and rebuild societal systems to better serve communities who have been historically under-resourced, underrepresented, and under-developed for far too long.

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.
